Oncreen text is all capital A's in boxes on my MacBook Pro?

It started running slowly and I had to force quit. Then it was stuck on the blank blue screen so I went into safe boot. It froze again so I force quit and it came on. But now all of my onscreen text is capital A's in boxes and when I click on a folder or tab, even the apple icon in the corner, it's empty. I got a little popup saying that Geneva conflicted with my onscreen text and that I should move it into the trash, so I did. But my text is still messed up! Please help.

I'm going to take it in to the Apple store and have them reinstall it

Just be absolutely sure that they understand that you've got data that isn't backed up on the drive. Ordinarily, the techs will usually assume that you have backups already, and will behave accordingly - including erasing the hard drive if necessary. Be sure they know that they can't do that!
