I have an Oki mc160 mfp and cannot seem to install the scanner driver on my iMac. Oki customer service was very helpful in walking me through the process but to no avail. It's not recognizing the printer. Is Mac security preventing this?

I have an Oki mc160 mfp and can't seem to install the scanner driver on my iMac. Oki customer service was very helpful in walking me through the process but the Mac would not recognize it. He said that there might be something with the security setting. Everything seems to be in order though. After all this I still have to hook up the USB cable to print. The either net cable is plugged into the router. I can print from my Dell desktop without the USB cable but have to use it for the Mac. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
