I am a low tech lady so this may be a silly question.
I need more room on my start up disk so I moved my HUGE music collection to external hard drive. Then I moved it to trash. Before I empty the trash I have some questions.
Will I have to rebuild my playlists? How do I play my music from the hard drive? Is there a way to keep some playlists on my macbook?

I am having a similar problem. I was using Snow Leopard with iTunes 11 on an external drive. I just did a clean install of Mountain Lion and I can not seem to access my library from iTunes. I tried following the directions that were given in the links from these posts but to no avail. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
I guess that one has everyone stumped, because it does not work. You can not do it.
