Can I remove the battery form my MacBook Pro 13" when it is running on AC power? Isn't it charging and discharging decrease battery life? Is battery calibration needed when replacing?

If you've a MBP capable of running ML, then I'm assuming that you have a non-user replaceable battery so, no, I wouldn't advise trying to remove it under any circumstance.

Yes, but you should not. If you do then you no longer have backup power in case of an outage. Your computer will also throttle down to half-power if no battery is present. Lastly, it doesn't do anything to prolong the battery's life.
