It takes approximately 1 hour to sync a 1 hour show in HD to my iPad2. Is that normal?
My iPad is taking longer to sync shows that the actual length of the shows themselves. This only happens with HD shows.

For me it takes approximately 4 to 5 minutes to sync a 3.5GB HD movie from iTune to my iPad 2.
Are you using the cable to sync?
Thanks for the information. I have tried two different cables now, I have unisitalled and re-installed itunes but still no luck. This has only been a recent issue.
If you are using Windows, switch Anti-virus and firewall off.
How new is your computer? There shouldn't be any around any more with USB 1, but if your USB is USB1 that could account for the slow data transfer. USB2 should be - give or take - a gig a minute. USB1 however is much, painfully, slower.
You may be running out of space on your iPad.
