Have just purchased an Apple TV 3 and set it up wanting to mirror my Ipad 3. I tried to find the Airplay icon by doubleclicking on the Home button but it wasn't there. I also can't find it when playing video for example.
Both devices have latest S/W and are on the same Wireless Network.
Anyone expierienced this?

Last night - I went into Apple TV menu and went to Restart -
After the system restarted, wen back through all menus and the "Airplay" menu had Airplay listed as being "off". I turned it on and it restarted.
Seems the system may need a reboot ??
I was afraid that would end up being the case.....annoying its an iPad 3 so not that old!
The reset did it thanks for advice

The modem is only 2 years old and I have only 1 network.
Everything else works fine on the network but the IPad will not show the airplay icon.
Thanks - I will try and get hold of Telecom to see what they say
