I cant connect my ipod 5th gen to my laptop running windows 7
I have a 5th gen ipod touch and my laptop running windows 7 wont recognise it as a device. Any ideas ?
Also it wont connect using the bluetooth as it cannot find the driver.

Make sure y have iTunes version 10.7 or later. The latest is version 11.
The iPod does not have the necessary BT profiles to pair with a computer.
I am running version 11 of iTunes.

Does the iPod charge when connected?
If not you could have a defective Lightning cable. Some iPods were shipped with defective cables.
I believe it is a prob with the laptop. As soon as I plug it in it says "USB Device not recognised". I dont even get to iTunes.
Funny thing is a plug it into my PC at home, running XP and it connects and works fine with nthe same cable.
