you don't you will have to either use safari or upgrade to an iphone 3GS or higher.

By loading a compatible version from an iTunes library which contains it; the needed version is no longer available on the iTunes App Store.

i had hoped there might be another way. Is it possible to upload photos from the phone to facebook when using it on safari?
I don't think so, but you can try.
