I have recently upgraded the ram on my imac leopard from 2gigs to 4gigs. One bank works fine and shows 2 but the other shows nil but not when i put back the orginal 1 gig ram.It shows up as 1.
Whats going on and what t casn be done to rectify.?

This is a common situation, type '4GB of RAM shows as 3GB' into the search box top right. There you will find several similar posts and some of the explanations.
None of my issues in respect of "4GB of RAM " were actually raised. The 4GB of RAM shows only 2GB. The other Bank is Blank. Reinstall the orginal 1GB and shows up. Have tried swapping around but nothing happens.
