It really depends on their size, but if you want to save a lot of songs, i'd suggest checking the option on itunes to convert all your songs in 128kbps, that way, you're assured to have a decent quality to all of your songs and saving space. This way, I suppose you could save up to 5000 songs. Normally, you'd only be able to save about 3000.
