how can i update my iphone 3G with iOS4.3
I wanted to download facebook on my iphone but when I tried it says, need update iOS4.3. How can I do that to my phone? Thanks
You cannot. The 3G can't be updated beyond 4.2.1. You will need a new phone.

You can ask FB to develop a version that will run on 4.2.1. The one now cannot be used on your iPhone.
Or just access it through your browser.

Perhaps your post RE: updating an iPhone 3G reflects its age but, my iPhone 3G shows me running 4.3.3, not 4.2.1, the upper limit as you suggest. Nonetheless, 4.3.3 precludes installing many newer apps, etc. A MacUser since 1986, updates for iPhone, iPad, etc. seem rather clumsy, backing up, re-installing music, apps, and podcasts, syncing in some cases with your laptop or other device, and so on. Marvelous devices nonetheless… Thank you.
If you are running iOS 4.3.3, then you have an iPhone 3GS, not a 3G. The latest iOS for the 3G is 4.2.1.
