How to recover lost contacts (i just back up my iphone 5)

I just back up my iphone 5 before updating for the new update.

After back up from 900+ contacts it became 142.

so i lost 800+ contacts.

how can i recover my lost contacts?

Just right now in the create message the names comes out. so it means the contacts is still in the iphone 5? but it does not show in contacts?

How can i enable to see it again?

There is still some ways for you to get them. For example, you can use a third party program.

Lost contacts on iPhone 5. You can recover them from iTunes or iCloud.
