my Ipod nano 7th generation turned off and won't turn back on. what should I do?

Have you tried using the headphone with the new nano and it still did not work?

I'm having exactly the same problem today - I've already taken one back and exchanged it. this is going back for a refund tomorrow. I think there are major major problems with the 7th generation and Apple won't admit it.

I have this problem too and I have bought this ipod around Thanksgiving I believe and it acted up on me this morning. It was on before I plugged it to my laptop, and when I was ready to sync my recently added music to my ipod I have noticed that my ipod was off. Try holding the button, wont work. I charged my ipod the night before so I know that is not the problem. Im so frustrated!

Had the same problem

press the power button on the top and the home button on the front at the same time for a couple of seconds

it should restart

I have the same problem too, as soon as i take power from the nano it wont turn on.

Left it charge over night, still can't turn it on.

Tried the reset method with power and home buttons but still nothing.

Thank you so much! I have been trying to fix my Ipod for the last 2 hrs & was getting so frustrated. It was completely dead & nothing was working. I've been reading all the troubleshooting & was about to give up. Yeah!

Its a bit too late but I just experienced the same thing. I tried everything but a video from youtube gave me the answer. Try putting the unit on diagnostic mode by pressing all buttons at the same time. Thats the power button, + and - of the volume rocker and the home button. The ipod will blink twice before entering into diagnostic mode. Scroll down on the menu and select "Stand by" and you're ready to go. Hope this still helps.

I have had the same problem on and off for a while now, I pressed all the buttons at once and it turned on but still wouldn't charge I tried to turn the radio on and the compueter then recognised it and started charging
