Macbook Air Mid 2012 (a1465) 11.6" says not charging.

Macbook says not charginng. Took it to an apple store they tested the battery said it was good. Tried different power cord, still "(Not Charging). Called Apple reset the SMC. Still says not charging. Apple representative said it is probably the Magsafe Board. Charging cord shows green when first plugged then switches to orange.

My questions are, is there any way this is a software issue? Where can I buy a new magsafe Board for this computer? Does anyone have a guide on how to replace magsafe board in this model? Has anyone had this problem? Has anyone replaced the Magsafe Board? Which boards are compatible(will the 13" one work)? Any and all information would be appreciated.

Yes I know its still under warrenty and taking it back to apple is an option. What I'm looking for is information. Suggesting to take it to an apple store is not what I need, but thanks anyway.

Apple Declined the repair without quoting a reason. How am I to understand the following?

"

Problem Description/Diagnosis

Issue: Computer will not run on battery alone.

Steps to Reproduce: Battery indicates it is not charging MagSafe indicates it is charging led is yellow.

Diagnostics found system connection is bad but battery was ok.

Proposed Resolution: Replace battery in order to attempt to resolve charging issue.

"

If a connection is bad but battery is ok then why replace the battery?

And if its a connection and they are replacing a battery what is this about...

"

Repair Estimate

Item NumberDescription Price Amount Due
661-6625Board, Logic, 1.7 GHz, 4GB$ 396.59$ 396.59
923-0118Board, Left I/O$ 32.95$ 32.95
Total (Tax not included)$ 429.54$ 429.54

"

There's no battery being billed and there are 2 logic boards listed that are unmentioned previously?

Oh and if it was under warrenty why did this look like I was getting charged?

I really would prefer to do it myslef. (unheard of in america i know)

Assuming that im going to try.....

Is "1.7 amperes to run the MBA" normal? is that high? that sounds high.

what does "the charge level information for the battery is missing" mean? what is a likely reason for that?

The battery has a report of being good (93-97% of its original capacity - Coconut)(apple techs said its normal) so id like to keep with that unless theirs some reason to doubt it. this leaves the charging system.

what is that composed of? are these soldiered parts or connectors? And what about my assumption of the magsafe board?
