How do I import movies onto my iPad?

1. Connect your iPad to your computer, and run iTunes.
2. Drag the movie onto the iTunes, then movie will copy to the Movies area of iTunes.
3. If you haven't added any movies before, the Movies area will now appear in the list, near Music.
4. Select your iPad from the sidebar menu. You will now see an options screen for your iPad.
5. Click the “Movies” tab near the top of the screen, and check the box next to “Sync movies.”
6. Click “Sync” on the main screen to sync your iPad. The movie you dragged into iTunes will now sync to the iPad.

And for the other way around - transfer videos from iPad to computer, iTunes can't have it done.

Able - not true, the VLC method as described by Tim above works perfectly.

I know this is very late but you can get a application called iExploreron both Mac and PC and you can automatically sync all of your movies to your iDevice straight from Computer

I agree now I have the files twice one in my computer and the same file in my ipad..... ONE more reason to get a windows or a samsung tablet.....

To put movies on iPad, add movies in the supported format to itunes on the computer; connect the ipad to the computer using the usb cable; open itunes;mnavigate to the ipad; set it to sync the movies of your choice; synced movies are on your ipad.
