unable to make in-app purchases need help

I have just had the same problem and more or less followed walcomc's instructions.

My problem was that I had an itunes account set up in one country and was trying to acces it from a different one. I know a lot of people do this for different reasons and usually get away with it. The chat rep would not actually confirm that exactly but kept referring me to the Terms and conditions regarding country of use. Kind of wierd but possible some sort of security thing.

Perhaps Apple has a new way of detecting your country of access or something but I had to change my account country and then they "unblocked it" I don't think there is anything else you can do if this is your scenario. Whether I can go back to the old country again I am yet to find out (no real reason to try just yet).

i am having the same issue as well its been two days i can purchase songs from itune but no in app purchases. and im using iphone 4 and carrier is virgin mobile with latest ios

I am have the same issue and it have been a week or so, and the worst part is that all the transactions were successful but yet I still recieved that unsuccessful in app purchase issue! god I so gonna screw them up it they really charged me for nothing!!😠

I had the same issue with this game. Go to settings>game center and log out of game center. Re sign in and maybe that will work for you too.

I think your problem is that you have got in-app purchases restricted. go to settings>general>restrictions and turn them off
