Looking to convert to using Ipad's as cash registers for a small business. Just wondering what the necessary steps are and how to go about getting cash drawer, receipt printer, etc. Also what app to use that will allow many different PLU's and it could be up to 5 cash registers so is there anything that could link them all together.

This doesn't specifically answer your question, but I went to the Verizon store the other day and they have iPads setup with what seemed to be a home grown Verizon app that charges customers and accepts payments of both cash and credit card. The customer service people can handle all of the sale through the iPad. They have a similar app in the Apple Store..so what you want to do is possible, and be very interesting from the standpoint of innovative use of iOS devices.......😉
Search the web for "iOS point of sale". You'll find a number of solutions that you can investigate. Or you can pay a developer to craft a solution specifically tailored to your business, though of course a custom app will probably be quite expensive.
