Can't open Youtube on Safari

It's been about three days since youtbe suddenly stopped loading in my mac. It loads a tiny bir in the adress bar and when I wait a good few minutes it says that Safari can't open the page.

I've alreay tried several DNS settings but that doesn't seem to be the case. Also, none of my proxies are checked.

Any ideas on what may be the problem?

Thanks. I couldnt download smultron but today i decided to work on this issue. So when i was searching the hosts file in my mac i found another one which was used for youtube allowance before (because it was not allowed in the country there was this hosts file change thing). I deleted the youtube lines there then i found the hosts file in /etc folder and replace it with the deleted one AND THE PROBLEM SOLVED! 😀 so happy for today:D And thanks again for pointing out that folder issue! 😀

Hi Linc,

I'm experiencing same problem here. I did what you suggested lookup and ping things, but the result looks a bit weird......

For ping:

Ping has started…

ping: cannot resolve youtube.com: Unknown host

For lookup:

Lookup has started…

youtube.com -> The operation couldn’t be completed. (kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork error 2.)

Do you know what these mean???
