Hi all , first question on this forum. I am travelling over to the USA in a few weeks and i know that the unlocked iphone 5 is now on sale, if i buy one from the apple store unlocked will it work in the UK?I am not bothered if it doesnt work on 4G as long as it works on 3G. Thanks

I Am on orange and still under contract for another year so not looking to change to 4 g , i find 3g is really quick enough, thanks conad
Too often they get confused.
But I am back and forth so it's not really an issue.
I get about 5-6 down and bout 2-3 up normally with 3G so I am quite content. Espesially with 5gb a month costing 50£. But just a note though if you want to switch to 4G you may be able to since EE is the parent of Orange.

Are you sure of your pricing, that you are comparing the unsubsidized prices, not the subsidized (which are locked to a US carrier). The UNLOCKED 64 GB iPhone 5 in the US is $849 + sales tax. In NYC, for example, the sales tax is 8.75%, so that adds $74.29, total cost is therefore $923.29.
$923 is approx £576 . for a us 64gb phone costs£ 699 , so if your were to come to the uk to buy one , it would cost you $1119.45. The cheapest iphone would still cost you $847.19
