in apple tv there is top movies
but no menu for new releases
for example, the new film Holy Motors is not shown anywhere unless you search
am i missing something or is this some kind of grooming buyer behaviour thing again from apple

Go to Top Movies in Movies and click, I then get on mine the first line is Top Movies and the row underneath is New to Own or Rent.

you are referring to itunes on an ipad for example, not apple tv
did you check this before you answered?
Apple TV and of course I did.
This is a stock screen shot and says Recent Arrivals, on my 2Gen latest updates it says "new to own or rent".
there is no picture showing there but a black space, anyway, I do not have Recent Arrivals on my apple tv for australia.

It may be a geographical thing, it may also be a different software update but is it is not there on yours it doesn't help.

SStill no resolution to your comment...cheeses me off having to go on the iPad to find out latest releases then Search for them in Movies...stupid really!
It has always been available on Apple TV.
