MacBook Pro battery not charging... bought a new one, same problem. Any ideas?
The problem seems to happen to more people at the moment, I know 2 guys who have the same problem.
I guess it might be a software bug in Snow Leopard?
... or it's something like a "time-bomb" to make me buy a new one...

Is it a new battery from Apple. If so get a replacement since it has a warranty.

No, I bought a "replacement battery", because I didn't want to spent 140€ to see that is not the battery which is broken.
The new one should work, even if it's not original by Apple. I know many people who had great experiences with the cheaper ones.
As I said I know two other guys at work who have the same problem, this can't be by chance!
Non Apple batteries have a mixed history, some work and some have very short life spans. If it is new, it seems that you should approach the vendor for a replacement
All batteries fail eventually, but if used correctly should last 3+ years. My 2006 MBP has a second battery installed and has provided 4 years of good service. The original lasted a little more than 2 years.

I really don't think that the battery is the problem. But I asked them for replacement, just to be sure. I think its a software thing!!!!

If your power adapter was connected when you recorded this information, your battery should be charging. The display shows that it is not.

already tried the smc reset, nothing changed...
also did the pram reset, nothing changed...
Run an Apple Hardware Test. That may give a clue as to what the problem may be.

Hmm I can't run the test, nothing happens when pressing & holding D at startup...
found out the test may be on the discs but I don't have them here atm
I also contacted an Apple Service Provider, curious what they will say
