Does anyone know if the new i pod touch 5th generation are prone to bending? I have two that have bent on their own. Anyone else out there have this problem?

That seems unlikely to happen. How bent is it? Did you put it in a place where it could be bent?
@ Home Button, no, they were laying on a flat surface. I was wondering if it was an overheating issue. Also keep in mind these are the new i pod touch 5th generation, they are very sleek and have the titanium back! I have read some things on the web that people were having trouble with iphones bending on their own!!!
Also they are not totally bent...just a slight bend to them both in the same area!!!
Do you have a case that has a strong grip on the iPods? Also, where exactly are they bending?
Ok, let me refrase...warped is more like what we are experiencing.... you can only tell that they are warped when you lay then on a flat surface.....and as far as the case...no they don't have a strong grip on the i-pods.....
Did it have any sign of warping when you first bought it? Have you ever left it a hot environment?
Hey Jaqueline, I have the same problem. I've sent mine to Apple for a replacement and they told me it was misused or accidently damaged and ARE NOT REPLACING IT...basically you have a $300 device that is defective and you are stuck with it. I'm not impressed, always tought that Apple had good customer care but I guess they don't....was going to buy an iMac in the spring....no longer buy it.
No, it did not have any signs or warping when we first bought them...(2 of them). And a double no to leaving it somewhere cold or hot envirnment.
@Yocat333, apple basically told me the same thing today! I have two 5th generation ipods that this has happened to. First my son's 2 weeks ago and now my daughters. At first I thought maybe my son misused his, but when it happened to my daughters, I thought this is nuts....you can only tell it's warped if you lay it on a flat surface... I like you was very dissapointed with Apple for not standing behind thier product. They told me that I have to complain to customer service and if they get enough complaints then maybe they will do a recall.. Like I have nothing better to do!!! Ugh😠. I have a mac book, 4 different i pods ranging from 4th generation,5th generation and shuffles...and 2 iphones.....VERY DISPLEASED WITH APPLE!!!!
I also have several products from Apple. I've gone on line and googled 'bent ipods' and/or 'warped ipods 'and we are not the only ones. I'm pleading with people to please complain to Apple because they told me the same thing...only if there's many complaints will they do something!!! I guess all we can do is spread the word and do it LOUDLY!!! I'm going directly to an Apple store this week and see if there's anything they can do...if I'm not happy with the response I'm calling all the TV programs I can think of to share my disappointment.....hopefully if it's broadcasted pucblicly they will do a recall....I'm furious and hate when big corporations take advantage of their consumers!!!

Older versions of apple product doesnt seem to have this issue.
@Yocat333 did they replace a new set for you or offer to repair the old set?
Mine looked exactly like that!!! I finally found someone in the customer support department to help me out and they replaced the unit...just got it back last week. All I can tell you is call and keep calling til someone hears you...it's a pain in the butt and it's time consuming but eventually someone will hear you!! Good Luck!!
I had the same problem after I bought ipod 5th for 3weeks. I got an ipod nano and an ipod touch 4th and they never had any problem. As soon as I 've seen it bent, I reported to Customer Service and went to the nearest apple store. Luckily, they have replaced the new one for me.
I to have this bent thing going on as well I think this issue needs to be brought up to the news, I was asked the very same questions and our ipod has been very well looked after both of them so I think it would be in Apple's best interest to hounour a recall and fix the defect, I am so mad I totally did not expect this kind of thing from Apple 😟
They can't be bent, but they can be broken, cracked, smashed, etcetera.
