How do I use iTunes Without a Credit Card?

thnx for blog. but i have tried this option also still not getting "None" option it throws only 2 option for me i.e. "visa" or "master card". 😟

but i guess this option only works if you are opening an account through an MAC or an IPHONE, am i right?

TehYoyo was right i used to create apple id account for my friend, coz they don't know how to do it 😎

you need to choose free app for me twitter app work just fine. 🙂

also setting up your age to 16 will give U the "None" option 😝

There is no option to log in to iTunes without a credit card! No "NONE"

Correction... There is not an option for "none" on a PC. There is an option for "none" if you have an iPhone.

I'm having the same problem I just created an Apple ID my iPhone and it does not give the option none?

Hmm. This is all highly frustrating.

I'm on a PC. The "None" option isn't available (even with a Free App from Apple).

You MUST create your Apple ID in this specific order:

1) Startup iTunes

2) Go to to the iTunes Store

3) Go to the "App Store" and select "Get Free Apps" from the drop down list

3) Select a Free App (eg iBooks)

4) When you attempt to purchase the App, you will be asked to "Sign in to the iTunes Store"

5) Click "Create Apple ID" and follow the process. In this way, you will be presented with a "None" option for Credit Card Payments.

It worked for me.

Followed instructions to the letter and it did not work for me.

Not sure why I have to enter credit card information just to download updates to the Apple software that was on my computer when I bought it.
