Hi dgtroy

Please open safari prefrences (cmd+,) and set your home page to the one you like.

Depending on your safari version you can change the search provider from the setting or from the browser.

Change it to bing, make a search to verifay you changed it to bing and then change it to google.

Restart your safari.

If you uninstalled Genieo using the uninstaller, Genieo icon and the uninstaller icon should not be in your application folder. if you downloaded the uninstaller it does not have any application to work on and this is why you do not see any changes when you run it.
