I have the original iPad that allowed me to choose my data carrier during set up. I want to change from Verizon to AT&T . Is it possible?

Yes I know. I chose Verizon during set up when I first got my iPad. Now I want to change to AT&T because it works better in the areas where I do not have wifi. Seems like if I had the choice to begin with, I should be able to switch now.
NO, the ipad is locked to verizon.
There was no original iPad for Verizon. Only AT&T and WiFi. The iPad 2 came in a verison for Verizon. However, it is CDMA only (the network technology that Verizon has been using) and does not have a SIM card slot. The iPads 3 and 4 for Verizon can, apparently be used on AT&T but 3G only, not LTE.
