How do I recover my password for Private Photo Vault?

I have downloaded an app "Private Photo Vault" by William Sidell, I have forgotten my password but I cannot find any way I can contact William Sidell so I can get tech support on how to recover or reset my password. Would you please guide me to the proper tech support address so I can get my password?

Thank you

I found it, finally!

I tried signing in many times with wrong passwords, untill I got a pop-up; 'would you like to send a recovery password to your email adress ********?'

It worked for me, I received an email a couple of minutes later :)

I found the site without much problem:

I don't see much in the way of support or contact information, though, other than a generic email on the About page.

But my guess is that the developer will have no way to recover or reset your password. Such a capability is often not present in an app; if there was some sort of "back door", the app wouldn't be every secure. If the Reset PIN doesn't work - bottom of the tutorials page here:

you may well be out of luck.

I tried about 20 times, with different passwords of which I knew they we're wrong, because I couldn't recall the right one.

Have you tried shutting down the app by clicking double on the home button, hold the icon of the app, and click the little red cross (or swipe it upwards in iOS7)? And then open it again, and try different passwords 🙂

Good luck!

As has already been made clear, access to the developer is highly limited and attempts to reach them are futile. I've previously sent an email to the generic address with no response, and there is no way to reach them by phone. If the app says it sent the password via email, then the email should show up. If there are false or misleading representations being made, the developer should be held accountable.

How is your inability to contact that developer either our problem, or Apple's problem?

If you go to Best Buy, and purchase a 'Jony' brand DVD player, and it doesn't work, what are your options? Return it for a refund, or contact the manufacturer.

In this case, it was a FREE App/DVD player. Nothing for Apple/Best Buy to refund. It's now a matter directly between user and developer.

Easy killer... I never said this is your or Apple's problem so chill the f out. In fact, I did NOT even pose a question. This is a Forum, and I added a relevant experience that negated a previously listed solution. I'm not expecting you or Apple to cry me a river or cut me a check. At best, there may be someone that also had a similar experience as mine and figured out a producticve way to get a hold of the manfuacturer and ultimately solved the problem. Would certainly appreciate hearing from them versus a whiny ***** like you.

THANK YOU!!! I had checked it before and there were no messages from previous attempts. Looks like my most recent attempt got a response, and it did end up in my JUNK folder. Problem solved.

Perhaps you can blow some knowledge up Tim's kilt and send some peace and love TJBUSMC1973's way as well.

So, you've now learned to check your Junk folders in your email. That's such wonderful news!

And the previous responses from the developer probably went to your Junk folder, but were automatically deleted after a certain amount of time passed, as is normal for most email account Junk mail folders.

So, to clarify, the root cause of this issue was not checking your Junk mail folder. I'm very, very pleased as punch that you were able to resolve this issue of not receiving a response from the app developer.

Best of luck in your future endeavors! And remember, RTFM.

I'm sorry. I didn't realize English was your second language. I said I had already checked the junk folder (yesterday) and nothing from the developer was in it. Unfortunately your short sighted smart-*** remark about auto-deleted junk mail missed the mark by a mile. As an Apple user, I use "Mail" which is supposed to delete Junk mail after 30-days... much longer than I've been expecting an email from the developer (which has been since X-mas). The email that I found was received yesterday afternoon (after I had last checked it).

I'm not familiar with RTFM... is that like GFY or Semper Phi??

Best of luck to you, your super cool Level 4 status and your poor psychiatrist. 👿

I have a similar problem. When I registered my email I didnt realized I mispelled the address and clicked the send button. Now when I try to retrieve my password I never get a reply because the email is wrong. I have written William Sidell numerous times but I never get a response.

I have come to the conclusion that I will never recover my pictures again.

On the app there's a way to get your password emailed to you. It automatically askes you if you want your password emailed after like the 5th time you try to enter your password and comed up wrong.

I registered my email with a typo so Im stuck. I just wish someone from tech support would reply!
