Well, first of all can she access anything else on her WiFi?
If so, what exactly happens whe using the App store?
Hi -
I know she has been using Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Snapchat, and Skype. I am not sure what happens when she tries to open App Store - I will ask her.
I saw that you can "change country" under "View Apple ID", but it says you have to spend all your iTunes $$ before you can do so. She loaded up with iTunes gift cards before she left - anyway around that? Or maybe that is not the problem?
Thanks!
PS She has been using her phone in Airplane mode (Wifi on) to avoid cell charges.
Just heard from her - it says "cannot connect to the iTunes store"
Airplane mode by default turns off Wi-Fi.
What she should do, is make sure Wi-Fi is turned back on. You can over-ride this, while still keeping airplane mode turned on.
Yes, she knows how to do that. We tested it before she left. She has been using Facebook, Skype, etc via Wifi with Airplane mode on and wifi on. She has been very careful not to go to cellular because of the costs involved. Maybe the cellular needs to be on for the App store?
Or maybe it has to do with the country code?
Thanks.
Ok, since you said he can not connect to the App Store, and it says "Can not connect to the iTunes Store", what actually happens now if she tries to connect to the iTunes Store instead?
