My iPhoto won't open

I click on my iphoto icon and it comes up with the coloured 'thinking spiral' and won't open. I try to go into other icons while waiting but it will not let me into those after I have opened iphoto version 9.4.2. It seems to be freezing everything else and the only way to close it is by shutting down the computer :/ I have a Mac book pro

I have the same exact problem and after rebuilding it twice, there is still no change. I tried opening it with a new user and it works perfectly. Now what? How do I fix iphoto on my main user?
