My 'other' data in my iPod Touch 4G is too big! 1,11GB! I want to erase it but other people say it can't, so how reduce other data to the minimum size? I'm using iOS 5.1.1

It is normal to have a gb or so of "other".
If it is much higher than that, it indicates corrupt files. A restore should resolve.
1.11 GB is about normal.
To reduce all that can be done is to restore from backup or restore to foctory settings/new iPod
