Will iOS 6.1 fix the wifi issues?

I am having wifi connection issues.

I have iOS 6.02.

The wifi connection simply drops at times while The ipad is stationary sitting on the kitchen table.

It's annoying to have to interrupt music or video or whatever and resetting the wifi.

This does not happen with any other wifi connection in the home (4 others) including an original ipad.

This wifi issue was not fixed in 6.02 but my question is whether it will be fixed in iOS 6.1???

I still have the option to return my ipad mini which I might do if iOS 6.1 doesn't fix the issue because , like I said, iOS 6.02 did not.

Does Anyone know the est release date for iOS 6.1? And has Apple confirmed that people STILL have wifi issues In 6.02 and that 6.1 will indeed remedy those issues?

This is an analysis that is consistent with my issues. It happens when streaming from a website. I was watching lance armstrong video and it kept dropping the wifi connection. I would reconnect and then it would be fine. The other time I'm having issue is when I click on a link from an email. Many of them will hang and I have to reselect the wifi hub.

Before I change my router....is this confirmed a wifi issue with Apple's software? I think so because my other devices work fine.

I had similar issues with my Iphone 4S:

- trouble accessing a website even though the WIFI signal showed strong. disconnecting/connecting from WIFI solved the issue for a while

- swithcing from 3G to WIFI- again reconnecting manually to WIFI would restore

- slow connections and dropped WIFI during video streaming over WIFI

Replacing/Restarting the router did not fix the issue, besides, my wife's Iphone 4 and my daughter Ipod worked just fine in parallel trying to access the same resources.

- Restoring the phone did not fix the issue. In parallel Apple has discovered that my personal hot spot was not working either so they thought there was something wrong with the WIFI-3G gateway getting stuck in lala- land when swithcing over from one mode to another.

- Apple has replaced my phone and that fixed the issue. The new phone simply flies on wifi now.

I just bought an iPad gen 4, mine hasn't dropped wifi but it's not as fast as it should be. I'm alone on the 5Ghz band where I lived and it wont go faster than 25Mbit. (My computer connected with ethernet do the same test with 90Mbps).

Tried all settings I can think of, even bought a new router since I thought it was that the 2.4Ghz band was too crowded. Turned off QoS and WMM but it doesn't help, I also tried all different bands. And got no other wifi units connected to the 5Ghz net.

Still I hear ppl having actual 70Mbps speed.

Will iOS 6.1 fix the wifi issues?
