Mail crash on FIRST open of day only...

Hi,

First, I know there are many threads about Mail crashing... and I'm digging through those too, just in case there's something there.

But in the meantime, I wanted to ask if any of you know what might be causing this "extra" quirk of crashing behavior...

Mail crashes, but only on the first open of the day.

After that, I can re-open it just fine and I can open and close it for the rest of the day. But in the mornings, it consistently crashes on first open.

To note:

Yes, I do have open email that reopens with the program.

Yes, I've also tried closing those and deleting recent emails to see if that fixes things.

And yes, I have rebuilt the Mail database... both all at once and each mailbox/folder individually.

I do have a plugin installed (Mail Act-On), but it's never caused any problems before and I've had it installed with the most recent updated version of Mail, no problem.

What I haven't done yet is mess around with the preferences folder or, as I've seen recommended elsewhere, the "V2" folder, etc.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

JF

P.S. The other thing is that I also occassionally get the "greyed out" quit button thing, where I can't quit Mail unless I do a Force Quit via the Finder.
