Don't know. What happens when you use the App Store app and select the updates button? Are you sure that you have apps that have updates? How do you know this?
First thing to try is quitting the App Store app and resetting your iPad.
Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the App Store app until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
are you sure there is an update available?
same thing here, i have two updates available but it doesn't appear on the screen on my ipad........ i guess apple is doing some updates on thier own.
Mine is doing the same. It shows I have 4 updates but won't load any. Page loads completely blank. I tried the rest option didnt work.
Well, it is all magic, right? After several days of not showing up, wahla! yesterday afternoon there were all my APP updates displayed as usual. Judging from the experiences of John and robot this must happen periodically on the iPad.
I'm having the same issue on my iPhone. Apple need to sort it out. I've turned the phone off and back in, quit all apps running. Not sure what else can be done.
This is crazy I am up to 7 updates showing and still wont pull them up. Of course Apple has not even answered or put out a statement what is going on. Apple is going down hill. Already went to Android for my phone looks like my tablet will be next.
As of Feb 28th, I'm having the same issue. I spent over an hour talking to Apple. Their only solution is a complete wipe of my phone, which leads me to believe they don't really know what the issue is. Did anybody get this issue solved?
I was having this issue on my iPad too, though it was working perfectly on my iPhone. I tried all of the fixes listed in the other threads about this happening, but what eventually worked for me was syncing my iPad to my computer to give myself a restore point , then resetting it back to factory defaults including wiping all content and settings. Then I restored it using the info from my last sync on my computer. My updates tab in the App Store was working after that and I was able to see what apps needed updated and update them.
I'm having the same issue, there is a somewhat easy workaround to still update your apps. If you go into purchase you can scroll through all your apps and it will show which apps have an update and you can then update them.
Thanks! This worked great for me.
My iPad 3 with the lastet iOS version for the past several days shows I have 8 App Updates but when I click on the icon, not loads. I do not get a message telling me no updates available nor do I see any updates. It's just a blank screen.
I can go to Purchased and scroll through and manually update apps but that's a serious pain.
My iPhone on the same Apple ID and iOS version works as expected.
Rebooting and closing the App Store icon has not fixed the issue.
Any suggestions as to how I can fix this?
This worked for me also. Thanks for the work around. Hopefully apple can fix the issue. I seems to be an iOS / apple server issue.
This is weird, I am having the same issue today. I have 7 app updates available, but there is a blank page displaying. No one has heard of any fixes from Apple yet?
Having same issue today. Had 5 updates and nothing showing up when you go into the app store on the Updates button. I went into the purchased button and had to update them manually. Kind of disappointing. Hopefully Apple will address and correct this quickly seeing as they have made no mention that it was an issue.
