Hi Friend,

I found the solution for this problem (because I faced it too): go to Settings>>General>>Reset>>Reset Internet Settings (the third option in IOS 6).

Five minutes later my iDevice works fine again.

If the issue persists, forget the wifi connection and then sign in again.

Hope it helps

Aliea's solution did not work for me. HOWEVER, this did...

Go to App Store updates. Look for and remember the apps that are not loading ("loading" bar remains empty). Exit App Store (I did not close app; I simply depressed the home button to return to my apps on mobile desktop). Font he apps that were not loading. When you do, you should see the same empty loading bar appearing in the thumbnail of the app. Now, click on that app. It will do 1 of 2 things: 1) begin and complete loading, or 2) a pop up window will indicate that to "try again". If the latter (#2) happens, return to AppStore and you will now see that the app prompting you to try again is no longer stuck in the empty loading position on the update apps list. It should now show a option to update. Do so by depressing that option button, and the app should fully load with getting stuck.

Happy loading!

First off - same problem as everyone else - App Store says updates needed but Updates screen is white/blank.

Closing app/restarting ipad did not work

changing language from english to british english and back did not work

i'm nervous to try the Network Setting reset - what do that do?

Circle - I would like to try your suggestion, but don't understand this "Go to App Store updates. Look for and remember the apps that are not loading ("loading" bar remains empty)." When I go to App Store updates, i see a blank white screen so how can I know what apps are not loading?

Thanks.

Sounds like your problem is slightly different than the one I was experiencing. My App Store updates screen showed 2 or 3 apps that were always stuck in the "loading' position. You state you have a "blank white screen". How then do you know you have apps that are not loading? On your HOME screen (desktop), are there apps still loading? If so, try opening them and look for the pop up window to "try again". If the app does not reapear in the updates screen, then you probably have a different issue with your App Store (app).

I am not sure if you can delete the App Store (app) if it is malfunctioning and re-install. I don't think that's possible, as how would you then be able to download it?

Yeah, I also tried the various solutions and all failed to work. Last night I switched out of my wifi into cell mode and tried the update and after much fiddiling around my screen revealed two apps to be updated. I thought it was a network problem so I reset my Verizon router and tried the wifi again. No joy there so I tried the cell route again but no joy there either. The cell update worked one time but that's not good enough.

We have two IPADs and having to deal with my wife and her impatience about. software that does ot work will make me crazy....

I am sure the weinies who tamper with software will eventually figure it out and there will be peace in Apple Vally...

I do feel that perhaps they failed to test a fix or two before elevating their server software (App Store) to production.
