Hi Friend,
I found the solution for this problem (because I faced it too): go to Settings>>General>>Reset>>Reset Internet Settings (the third option in IOS 6).
Five minutes later my iDevice works fine again.
If the issue persists, forget the wifi connection and then sign in again.
Hope it helps
Thank you, richardc182, this worked for me.
As of July 26, 2013, I've had the same problem as everyone else -- the App Store Updates screen is white/blank. This problem exists on both our iPad (3rd gen wifi only) and iPad mini (wifi only). I tried all the reasonable resets and nothing fixes the blank screen.
Thankfully, iPad has the Purchases tab, which can be used to circumvent the problem. As pointed out earlier in this thread, you can scroll down this list of purchased apps and look for any apps whose button reads UPDATE. But this certainly is not preferred to a fully functioning Update screen.

This didn't do a **** thing.
Is there no guidance here from Apple at all? Is this all just a bunch of users guessing what to do?
Unfortunately this didn't work for me. I had 3 updates, but none showed up on the purchased page. My husband's showed up, but then it wouldn't do anything.
I tried using all the answers given below but none of them worked for me. My App Store updates has not been working for the past 4 days and most of my friends are also having the same problem.
Problem solved! Thanks for taking the time to post a very simple and clear solution.
This worked. Thank you!
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. It worked for me!
Rebooting didnt help me. Still have a a blank screen but red circle with a 1 in it.
I've rebooted, restored, reset all the settings on my iPad 2 iOS 6.1.3, still no luck!
It's been 5 days now.
No problem on my old 3GS and my wife's iPhone 4 though.
Hopefully it'll get fixed soon!
Those red notification dots are driving me nuts!
This worked for me too. Now Apple needs to fix their end.
Double tap the home button to bring up the open app toolbar. Locate the App Store icon and touch it until it starts shaking. Tap on the minus icon to close the App Store . Push the home button to exit the toolbar. Now tap on the App Store to open it and it should work now. This worked for me. I actually closed all the open apps while I was in the open app toolbar.
I try this every day...just in case...but it hasn't worked. It's been almost a week.
Yep, I'm with lindafromcanton. That isn't even close to helping solve it. I still have the white screen with no updates showing.
