App Store updates not working
My App Store icon shows three are updates, but the Updates page is blank and will not refresh.

Hi Friend,
I found the solution for this problem (because I faced it too): go to Settings>>General>>Reset>>Reset Internet Settings (the third option in IOS 6).
Five minutes later my iDevice works fine again.
If the issue persists, forget the wifi connection and then sign in again.

The problem still persists with me too. Given the random nature of the "solutions," my guess is that the problem is solely on Apple's end and the "solutions" only seem to solve a problem that is actually caused by Apple. Instead of fixating on voodoo solutions, it may be more helpful to contact Apple and make them aware of the problem.
I did just contact Apple to "make them aware." :) Now let's see how aware they will be and if they will at least address this problem! That's the most frustrating part--that there seems to be no acknowledgement from the company about this...like be seated at a restaurant and no waiter even looks at you for 10 minutes, you know?
I sent in a support issue to Apple over the weekend. I have tried all the workarounds and nothing works for me. I have an iPad2 and 3 and a mini. This morning the mini started updating and I didn't try any of the workarounds on it. Go figure! My coworkers are not having any issues with their iPads.
Tried all workarounds and none have worked. Red badge indicates there are updates, but when I go to app store and updates, there is a blank white screen. We should not have to go through purchases searching for updates. This is ridiculous. I have noticed this problem on both of my ipads and my iphone. My phone started to work out of nowhere, but my ipads are not working. Something must have happened the last cpuple days for updates on all of my devices to all of a sudden not work.
Looks like mine are working now. Hopefully they did something to fix this on the App store end. I would be curious to know if others have found it resolved as well.
Mine still doesn't update. It has, however, added one more update number in my red circle. 😠 Wonder what Apple is doing, if anything.
I've tried the fixes here, but none work 100% for me. I was able to update most apps by scrolling thru them in the Purchased tab, but the App Store icon still showed 2 left. Today it added one more. I found the one it added in the Purchased tab and updated it, but the App Store icon still shows 3.
With so many seeing the same thing here, the problem almost has to be at Apple's end.
It is definitely on Apple's end. I received an email back from Apple Support today that they are aware of the issue and are working on it.

Resetting network settings did NOT work for me!
This didn't work for me, I have an LTE IPad 3. I'm going to contact Apple Support.
Doesn't resetting your network settings put things back to the factory settings? I was hesitant to even do that. Seems like it may change something I don't want changed. Where is Apple!? Nategreen says he received an email back from them saying they "are aware of the issue". I contacted them a few days ago, too, as I'm sure many others have, but no reply.
Does this delete your data?
It doesn't delete your data only network settings. So if you need a password to connect to wifi you may need to enter it again. In any case this didn't correct the problem for me.
