Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I'm sure this has been asked over and over since Apple seems to have ditched some of its software, but I really need a program that will allow me to create a master DVD with menus. This DVD will be used for replication and sale in a nonprofit bookstore.
I am running Mountain Lion and using Final Cut Pro X to do my editing.
What are my options?

Current applications are Toast and Encore. You can probably also find Apple's old software iDVD and DVD Studio Pro.
To the DVD authoring question, I would definitely try your version (7.04) of iDVD on your system. According to wikipedia, iDVD 6 was the first universal binary version, so it may work.
Agree that DVDSP and Encore are excellent, but both were/are sold as part of a larger editing suite and the cost would be hard to justify for most users.

iDVD works perfectly on my Mavericks 10.9.2
When you try to install the DVD you will probably get a worrying error message if you are on Mountain Lion or later.
It is quite harmless and is there because Apple never envisaged anyone so far down the line wanting to use iDVD.
Simply click "Continue" and install it.
