The home button on my iPad 2 has suddenly become inoperable on an intermittent basis. Rebooting corrects this most of the time, but not always, i.e., it becomes inoperable after the first app is launched. Has anyone else encountered this?

Try this home button recalibration trick:
Simply open a stock iOS app (e.g., Clock). Once the app is open, press your iPad’s power button until the ‘slide to power off’ screen appears. From that screen, press and hold your Home button until iOS force quits the stock app you have open. You’re done!
