What part of there is no support for bluetooth file transfer in iOS do you not grasp?
No iOS device will "discover" another iOS device, cell phone, or tablet in Bluetooth settings because that is not a feature of iOS.
I was looking for this functionality on the premise of the beforementioned App which I purchased from the App store. Then based on your statement this comes down to false advertising and I have been ripped off ?
It should work (except slowly for video).
Does Bluetooth work on both devices for other functions (headsets, show up in the Bluetooth panel of a computer, etc.)? Of not, you have a hardware problem. Otherwiwise, there is a problem with the app.
Is the app installed on both devices?
You woud have to connect from within the app.
Thank you you hit the nail on the head ! But I have also now learned a lot about bluetooth!
Hi Diesel,
I have a quick question in regards to this bluetooth/wifi/linking/sinking saga!
I have expensive creative speakers which have linked wirelessly to my Iphone 3 and 4 to play music without any probs at all. With my Iphone 5 I am unable to connect them to my speakers.
Why would these work with my previous Iphones and not my new one?
I have also attempted to link into friends iphones with the bluetooth tab and it continuously searches for devices but does not link into anything.
Can you please explain in laymans terms what going on and if I will ever be able to play music through my new speakers? And how to hopefully fix it!?
Cheers heaps for your time,
Kendall

Have the speakers been placed in pairing mode?

As has been stated mutiple times in this thread, this is not a supported feature of iOS.
The speakers have been paired to my other phones (Iphone 3GS and 4) and will play music wirelessly without any probs but I am unable to pair them with my 5 the phone will not pick them up - why is this?
Again, are the speakers in pairing mode?
Read the User's Guide for the speakers to determine how to put them in pairing mode.
Yes the speakers are in pairing mode and will pair with other devices but not my phone. Is there a setting I have missed on the phone for pairing?
No they are not in pairing mode. Once paired the devices will connect. To pair them the first time the speakers must be in pairing mode.
Read the manual or users guide for the speakers and put them in pairing mode.
