If the screen didn't crack outright, the other component to worry about is the hard drive. You should do a complete backup immediately to be on the safe side. Also, run Disk Utility, do a Verify Disk on both the drive and the Macintosh HD volume underneath in the list.

While you have the drive selected, look in the bottom part of the DU window and check the S.M.A.R.T. status. If it says anything different from Verified then the drive is hit, will fail soon and appropriate arrangements for its replacement and funeral services should be carried out.

Probably froze from the shock. There is a sudden motion sensor that parks the HHD

I would have it looked if you notice any oddities.

To alleviate your concerns take it to an Apple store or AASP and have them check it out. o one here can tell you it's OK.
