Can't find apps downloaded from iCloud to my iMac...

I have an iMac and iPad and just purchased an iPhone5. I set-up iCloud on all of my devices and backed up on all three. I opened iTunes on my iMac and was able to see all of my apps under "Purchased." I clicked on several apps in order to download them to my iMac. The word "Downloaded" appears next to the icon of each app, however I can't find the apps anywhere on my iMac. They're not on the desktop, not in the Downloads folder, not in the Applications folder on my hard drive. I used Spotlight to search for them and don't find them anywhere. Help!

Your device will create backups automatically when it's connected to Wi-Fi and charging, but you can also make iCloud backups manually

Your iMac won't make any iCloud backup; your iPhone will make iCloud backups, if you turn this on

One more question and then I'll leave you alone... 😉

In Notes in my iPad, I have several (7) notes. On my new iPhone, only two notes appear - those are ones I made at least a year ago, that no longer appear on my iPad. Why the discrepancy and how can I get the two to match? (Both devices now have iCloud and both have been backed-up within the past hour.)

I suppose that Notes sync is activated on Settings > Notes. You can try to turn it off and on. I can't help you anymore with that issue
