If I sent my white iPhone 5 in for replacement, can I get a black iPhone 5 sent back instead?

I originally wanted a black iPhone 5 but was advised to get the white one because of "scuff-gate". I was wondering, will Apple send me a black iPhone 5 in exchange for my white one if I'm sending it in for a product replacement anyway?

The only thing that would change is the color, and I'll get a new serial number anyway.

Anyone have any thoughts?
