iCal Error with iCloud calendars

I am receiving an error pop up about every 2 minutes on my calendar desktop app and it's driving me crazy.

I've tried deleting some of the calendars from the iCal app, but it keeps reappearing.

I'm running Mac OS X Version 10.8.2

Syncing with iCloud on a iPhone 5 with most up to date software.

Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

I have tried a couple of the suggested fixes, but they have not worked.

When I go into the Library folder there isn't a "Calendar" folder to delete any cache files

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Cheesehead, 😁

1. Quit Calendar, and disconnect from the internet

2. Go to your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Calendars Folder and move any any files with "Cache" listed in the name field to your Desktop. To find the correct Library folder, go to the Finder menu and select "Go," while holding the "Go" menu depress the "option" key to reveal the correct Library folder.

3. Next go to your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder and move the com.apple.iCal.plist file to the Desktop. To find the correct Library folder, go to the Finder menu and select "Go," while holding the "Go" menu depress the "option" key to reveal the correct Library folder.

4. Log out/in or restart, and open Calendar.

yo ferd,

craziest thing, i have a similar type buggy problem, except i when i launch i keep getting "Adding a new event. This calendar contains a new event. Please select a destination calendar:" and i then select a calendar and hit OK but this then repeats a million times but never progresses until it finally freezes.

- running 10.7.5 - and i don't appear to even HAVE a Library under Macintosh HD/Users/myusername/ ?!

i've never used iCal before today, finally set it up on my iPhone and iPad to sync to iCloud. i think unbeknownst to me this meetup group i belong to sent a million calendar invitations and this may be clogging things up.

thanks in advance if you can help.
