It's 2013, iOS 6.1 is out, and Bluetooth is STILL broken!

Had it paired up with my Nokia BH-905i bluetooth headphones with music playing. The same set that I've used on Nokia's own phones, my thinkpad, and Androids without a hitch. On the iPhone 5, music plays for a random amount of time, and then cuts out, even though the connection is still established and I can still issue commands (fast forward, play/stop, Siri) via the headphones. Bluetooth is NOT a new technology, how did Apple mess this one up so bad?
