Will iOS 6.1 fix battery issues?

I just downloaded and installed iOS 6.1 but I'm wondering if there are more features that apple don't tell you!

Does anyone else know the other features? As I am pretty sure here are.

10 hours ago I updated my iphone 5 to 6.1 and had 55% after update. With 3G and Wifi off I wake up now and it shows 9% without any usage. I think it's complete fail.

Updating to 6.1 on my iPhone 5 had me LTE activated through an additional (provider specific) baseband update.

Eversynce that happened, the standby battery life of my fone is about 5 hours now. Interestingly in the usage statistics, "usage" and "standby time" values equal. Apple seriously managed to turn my iphone into a black thing that keeps my pocket warm... Period...

iOS 6.1 BATTERY FIX

Previous battery would last about 4-5 hours. Fix returned battery life to normal.

This has worked for at least 4 of my iPhones.

1. Completely update ALL apps on computer.

2. Completely update ALL apps on iPhone.

3. Physically connect iPhone to computer and synch. MAKE SURE TO MAKE A BACKUP.

- force a backup by right-clicking on the iPhone and select "Backup"

4. Transfer all apps from iPhone. Right click on iPhone in iTunes and select "Transfer Purchases".

5. Open iPhoto (or your photo app) and backup all of your photos.,

6. In iTunes, click "Restore to Factory Settings". It will take a little while.

7. When restored, you want to restore from the most recent backup.

That should do it.

I cannot see that this is solved in 6.1?

I did not have any problems realy before I yesterday upgraded my 4s to iOS 6.1. During 2,5 hour this afternoon the consumsion got crazy and resulting in emty batteri. For me it seems that 6.1 cases battery problems again under unknow and maybe new sircumstanses..?

Some minuttes ago I tryied to charge from my lap-top by using the USB-cabel as before. But I cannot charge! The display in 4s start for 2-3 secunds and than emty batt causes dark screen! again - retry after few sec same happens.

Root case for this is simple - power consumsion in my s4 right now is higher than the charging (current) NICE :-(

Guys I have just figured out a tip on saving battery on iOS 6.1 or any over iOS

1: Turn off automatic carrier selection settings > carrier

2: have a dark (not too dark) home screen (this isn't too important)

3: get rid off the stocks, weather and twitter/Facebook widget from the notification centre

4: turn off ALL system location services: settings > privacy > location > scroll down to the bottom

5: go to settings > iCloud; and unstick anything that you don't have use for

6: Turn off mobile data; settings > general> mobile settings (only when you don't need 3G/4G)

These tips aren't the obvious ones that people would tell you, so here are my tips, and a thank you message for giving me your opinions on iOS 6.1
