Does your bottom case flex MBP retina 15

Hello,

I had the creaking problem. I went to an apple store they tightened the screws and the creaking went away. Since they made the adjustment there is a slight flex in the center of the case. I other words if you were to lightly press on the bottom case towards the center, or if you were holding it with one hand you would feel a slight flex or movement in the center of the case.

Normal? Let it be? Or take it back? If its not damaging the internal components I think I should let it go. What do u think?

May I suggest this: Place the MBP on a towel with the back side up. Place your fingers in the center of the bottom (both hands) and start gently and increase the pressure and see if you detect the cover engaging the snaps. It will feel and sound like a small 'pop'. If nothing happens, then let it be. If those snaps are not engaged, it will not affect the operation of the MBP.

Ciao.

Firstly I would like to thank you for your suggestions and time. When I tried, I did not hear any pops. Since I live close to an Apple store I went and looked at their demos on display. Most of them, the bottom case had some flex somewhere in it. Since this doesn't seem to affect any of the internal parts, which was my main concern, then I will leave it be. I'm just surprised there is any flexion but it makes sense since there is no padding under the case and between the inside parts.

I have a MacBook Pro 15" Unibody 2.53GHz Mid 2009 (A1286), and its bottom case was flexing too. I discovered that this is due to the two snaps (mentioned above) are broken (not the ones on the bottom case itself, but their counterparts on the other side). I googled around for a solution but it seems to be a rare problem. The broken pieces themselves are small, so I was wondering if replacement parts are available. Does anyone know where I could get a replacement for these?
