You can only recover with an old back up, they had already done.

Yes but how do i find them now and put them back onto my iphone
Settings> iCloud> Storage and Backup
The only way to restore the backup iCloud is putting the device into activation mode.
The easiest way to do this is to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase All Content and Settings.

That is not backing it up i am after losing all my pictures and half my contacts and cannot get them back... Can anyone help?
