iOS 6.1 Update and now WiFi problems

iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1 and I can connect to wifi networks, but my phone acts like it is not on wi-fi... Full bars and all that too.

I signed out of my gmail app because it was not downloading my email... now trying to sign in and it says "Connect to the Internet to Continue".

This update has messed up my phone...

Head on over to your local Apple Store and explain it to someone at the Genius Bar. Did that last week even though my 4S was two weeks out of warranty. Walked out with a new one, back on 6.1 after I set it up, and not a problem.
