MFMessageErrorDomain error 1032

I have a problem regarding my mail. I cannot open n load my mail like I usually do. It constantly asked me for password and display "MFMessageErrorDomain error 1032". What should i do to fix it?

iPhone 5, iOS 6.1

Same problem here. Have deleted account (it's a ymail.com account, managed by Yahoo) from iPhone 5, changed pwd from computer and re-added. Success. I did not wait the 12 hours as suggested above, it was only about 5 minutes delay. By the way, interestingly enough, I got an email from Yahoo last week that my account had been accessed by a mobile phone in Colombia and if that wasn't me they suggested changing my password. It didn't look as if the account had been hacked or phished but I changed the pwd anyway.

Here's a fix that's worked for me.


Double-tap your home button to bring up your last-opened apps.

Touch and hold the mail icon until it goes wobbly.

Click on the minus sign. The app disappears (dont worry, it's still there).

Then reset your iPhone by pressing and holding the top and home buttons together for 15 seconds.


Once it restarts your mail will be fine.
