ios 6.1 wifi issue

I recently upgrade my ipod touch 4th gen to ios 6.1. ever since then my wifi has been coming on and off at random times. i know it has to be a problem with the upgrade because it worked flawlessly before. all my other devices are hooked up to the same internet and the all still work. its very frustrating and i want to know if it can be fixed or if i can downgrade back to ios 6

Not sure if this will fix anyones issue...but it did fix mine. Here's what I did:

1. Unplugged my modem and diconnected cables

2. Unplugged router

3. Powered off all iOS devices

4. Waited a full 60 secs.

5. Replugged in Modem and cables...waited until it completly rebooted (about 1 min 30secs)

6. Replugged in Router waited for full reboot (about 30 secs.)

7. Powered up my iOS devices

For me it was a DNS issue and this resolved it...haven't had a connectivity issue since.

No real improvement with 6.1.2 iPhone 3GS. After 3 meters away from router, no WIFI but 3G - eating up the mobile data contingent from the provider :-(

By the way - did anyone of you out there has a problem with GPS receive? I have, since 6.1 . My car traffic app, working fine before upgrading, has absolutely no radio reception anymore in the car.

Apple, tell us, whats going on? The PR reputation is gonna go more and more worse for ya momentarily

Here's a very weird work-around that has seemed to help. I send myself a "Test" email (probably any Subject line would work). This morning, I sent it at about 11am, it finally went through at 1430 and now my computer can access the web. Same thing yesterday.

We have Time Capsule and I'm getting suspicious that the problem is compatibility between that and the OS upgrades. At one point, my wife's Mac laptop wasn't connecting via wireless. Disconnected the Time Capsule and plugged direct into the modem and got immediate internet access. I've got an old wireless router and this weekend I may hook it up to see if the problem recurs, ie is it any wireless communication or just Time Capsule.

Of course, in the meantime, I've just turned off iPhone5's wireless function while at home with the Time Capsule. Note that in Austin with other wireless networks it's working great.
