i have the iPad 2 and it doesn't have that option, now what do i do..
so i go to the settings then general and there isnt an option for software updates...
help!!

The Software Update option was only added in iOS 5. previous versions did not have it.
In the Article you cam efrom, scroll down to the section titled:Update your device using iTunes and follow that to update. You will need a computer to connect the iPad to for the update.
